John Ward, President

For 26 years, John Ward has provided pragmatic leadership for the company. Originally serving as Superintendent and Project Manager, he later moved into the role of Vice President of Operations and most recently became the President of R&H.

John puts a great deal of confidence in his staff, empowering employees to take ownership and pride in their work. He noted that “working with a group of really smart, committed people who are good at their job” is one of the most rewarding aspects of his position.

In his 28 years of construction experience, John has seen the industry from many different angles. He serves as a valuable resource on all projects undertaken by the company, bringing knowledge, leadership and astute problem solving skills to the table.

John is a sports enthusiast, who has run the Portland Marathon countless times and enjoys cycling, skiing and golf.
