The beauty lies in the details and historical roots at the newly opened Westman Hotel in downtown Bend. Once a U.S. Post Office, the building has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel and hospitality space, recently featured in Bend Magazine.
📬 Delivering this one-of-a-kind project was especially rewarding for R&H’s team. From preserving original features like the gold terrazzo flooring to crafting en-suite spiral staircases that lead to lofted sleeping areas, each detail carries forward the building’s legacy in the heart of the city. Whether you stay overnight or stop in for a signature cocktail in the foyer bar, this project is truly a first-class delivery.

Breaking ground, building futures! 🚧✨ After two years of planning, we’re thrilled to start construction on Heart of Oregon Corps’ new Central Campus in Redmond. A longtime nonprofit partner of R&H, Heart of Oregon empowers youth with education, job skills and hands-on experience, opening doors to careers in the trades, conservation and childcare. This new 6,600 s.f. campus will expand their reach and impact across Central Oregon, and we couldn’t be more proud to help bring it to life.

The need for affordable housing and comprehensive support services has quickly risen in Central Oregon’s high desert region. As Central Oregon’s first Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) development, Cleveland Commons responds to that need with 33 thoughtfully designed housing units that incorporate trauma-informed design elements and community gathering spaces. Residents have access to a wide range of on-site services, including behavioral healthcare and substance use recovery support.
Developed by Housing Works, Cleveland Commons was built by R&H and designed by @pinnacle.architecture. This community embraces the proven PSH model, which works to end homelessness by pairing stable housing with wraparound services and healthcare. Congratulations to Housing Works, @pinnacle.architecture and the entire Spencer Court project team who celebrated the successful opening of Phase 1 of the affordable housing development in Redmond. Residents have now moved into Buildings 1, 2, and 3, with Buildings 4 and 5 scheduled for turnover by the end of the year. With a total of 60 units, Spencer Court is part of an effort to expand affordable housing in the Central Oregon region. Cheers! 👏

Each of the Forestbrook homes are crafted with custom finishes that focus on highlighting the natural beauty of the Northwest. Several of the homes even feature built-in bunk beds handcrafted by R&H craftsworkers. Guests visiting the Caldera Springs will soon have a new space to enjoy! Our team is underway on a full renovation of Caldera’s Lake House, originally built by R&H in 2007. The Lake House, which is home to a restaurant and resort amenities, will be refreshed and expanded to create a more contemporary lodge dining experience. The project includes a kitchen expansion, new indoor/outdoor bars and private dining areas, and an expansion of the outdoor patio. Check out some progress photos on site below!
