Located in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, downtown Dayton is a community steeped in history. Dayton was founded in 1850 and was the first in the State of Oregon to be designated as a national historic resource. Now, R&H is honored to be thoughtfully restoring three buildings in the heart of the community: the Stuckey, Harris and Bank of Dayton buildings.
When complete, these three buildings will blend as one and house a boutique hotel above ground-floor, lease-ready retail spaces. A two-story, ground-up building tucks behind the historic buildings to house the hotel’s lobby and gathering space. Uniting the buildings is a central courtyard space for hotel guests to enjoy. With sustainability and preservation at the forefront of construction, the project is aspiring for LEED Gold certification. We’re excited to partner with Twin Towers and Paul M. Falsetto Architect to bring this beautiful historic renovation to life!

Built to Earth Advantage standards and awaiting certification, The Gabe meets ideal levels for energy efficiency, indoor air quality, resource efficiency, environmental responsibility and water conservation.
During the building process, ample time and attention was paid to building insulation, ensuring maximum energy efficiency. Additionally, several electric vehicle charging stations and 134 bicycle parking spaces are located inside of the underground parking structure. R&H’s Splash project had the pleasure of hosting teens from Northwest College of Construction’s Summer Construction Camp, held in partnership with Constructing Hope. The students toured the eight-story mixed-use development and adjacent historic pavilion, observing each stage of the building process. Our team then answered questions about life in construction, available career paths and the vital role each trade and team member plays on site. We hope this hands-on experience inspires these students to pursue careers in construction!

Completed in May, Freewell Apartments brings 192 living units to the growing Slabtown neighborhood, distinguishing itself with a beautiful two-story amenity building. Congratulations to our partners Prometheus Real Estate Group, Cairn Pacific and SERA Architects on a job well done! Summer is here and day trips are in peak season! Just two hours west of Portland, check out the incredible beauty that surrounds Pelican Pub’s Lincoln City location, nestled next to the Siletz Bay. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options including an expansive deck area to relax and take in the panoramic views of the bay, the mouth of the Siletz River and beyond. The R&H-built structure features two long offset shed buildings, exposed heavy timber, extensive glazing, mezzanine seating level, and inglenook featuring a double-sided fireplace and casual dining area opening to the boardwalk.

Tucked within the lively mixed-use development Lake View Village, the Taphouse offers guests an open, light and casual dining atmosphere within 5,000 s.f. An outdoor patio area highlights views of the adjacent lake and Millennium Plaza Park, while indoors features a dining room, bar and private events space.
The project has great history for our team as R&H served as general contractor for the original Lake View Village project in 2004, constructing six commercial buildings surrounding a 4-story parking structure.
