The Project Engineer’s primary role is to support the Project Manager and Superintendent on commercial construction projects by being responsible for document control, subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, and ensuring project compliance with plans and specifications. This role plays a key part in maintaining project organization, communication, and efficiency from preconstruction through closeout.

Job Responsibility
- Perform site administration/documentation including subcontractor submittals, requests for information (RFIs), OAC meeting minutes, permit tracking, ASIs, CCDs, etc.
- Track project documentation in required logs (RFIs, Submittals, etc.).
- Understand the project specifications and ensure they are being followed on the project.
- Maintain/update the project drawing set electronically and physically.
- Monitor project sustainability goals, including maintaining the proper logs/documentation and reviewing products for sustainability compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with quality control documentation and testing, including documenting work on the building envelope, window testing, etc.

Education & Skills
- 0-2 years of construction project engineering experience
- College degree preferred in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent experience
- Construction field experience are favorable
- Great communication skills – written and oral
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project) and Bluebeam experience
- OSHA-10 Hour, Revit/CAD experience are favorable
- Attention to detail, analytical approach to problems
- Personable and professional
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
