The Merchant Block project earned a spot on DJC`s Top Projects of 2026!👏
Located in the heart of Oregon wine country, the Merchant Block transformed and united three historic downtown buildings into a revitalized mixed-use destination. A historic renovation, careful preservation efforts and thoughtful new construction balanced preservation and progress, retaining the buildings` character while adapting them for a new purpose. Today, the Merchant Block is home to the Inn at Dayton, along with ground-floor retail and restaurant spaces that are helping bring new energy to downtown Dayton.

Delivered in two phases, the CATT projects expanded access to critical behavioral health and recovery services across Washington County. The Hillsboro Recovery Center transformed an existing 42,000 s.f. building into a multi-service hub, bringing together six providers under one roof. The Beaverton Recovery Center included the renovation of a 24,000 s.f. facility and a new 14,000 s.f. residential addition, providing space for residential treatment, withdrawal management and transition support services.

A new gathering place has arrived in downtown Dayton!🍷👏
This weekend, Satyr Fire welcomed guests into its new tasting room in downtown Dayton. Working alongside the Satyr Fire team, R&H helped create a warm, inviting space where visitors can settle in, share a bottle and enjoy a taste of Oregon wine country.
Located on the ground floor of the historic Merchant Block development, also renovated by R&H, crews transformed the tasting room with custom millwork, finishes, architectural lighting, and handcrafted bar elements that celebrate the building’s historic character. The tasting room adds another great stop to Dayton`s growing downtown scene.
Cheers to the Satyr Fire team and here`s to many glasses poured in the new space!

Another exciting groundbreaking is in the books!
Construction is officially underway at Mennonite Village, where R&H is proud to be partnering on a multi-phase project designed to enhance senior living care options and expand the community.
The project includes a new 17,300 s.f. memory care facility featuring 24 resident units, shared dining, activity and living spaces, a country kitchen, spa, and courtyard as well as a 3,800 s.f. addition to Mennonite’s main kitchen. R&H is also constructing ground-up 30 duplex cottages, which will create 60 new residential units.
To celebrate the milestone, our team hosted a BBQ for Mennonite staff, project partners, and community members during the groundbreaking event.
We`re honored to be part of this project and look forward to bringing this vision to life for Mennonite Village and its residents.

On Friday, the R&H team returned to Sunshine Division’s new headquarters and warehouse facility for our first volunteer event since completing the project and celebrating its grand opening last month.
It was especially rewarding to see the space in action as our team helped pack more than 200 weekend meal bags for local students and their families. These meals help bridge the gap for children who rely on school-supported food programs during the week.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to support an organization doing such important work in our community. Thank you to Sunshine Division for all that you do. It`s meaningful to see an R&H project already making a positive impact for local families.

Cleveland Commons, Central Oregon’s first Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) community, was developed in response to Bend’s growing houselessness crisis and provides 33 units of long-term, stable housing for highly vulnerable individuals.
Built in partnership with Housing Works, NeighborImpact, Central Oregon FUSE, and Shepherd’s House Ministries, Cleveland Commons pairs affordable housing with comprehensive on-site supportive services, including case management, behavioral health support, medical care coordination, and substance use recovery resources.
Through thoughtful, trauma-informed construction and close collaboration with mission-driven partners, R&H Construction helped deliver a safe, supportive environment that addresses critical housing needs while creating a true sense of home for residents.
