It’s Affordable Housing Month, and we’re proud to highlight projects that create lasting impact in the communities we serve!
Cleveland Commons, Central Oregon’s first Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) community, was developed in response to Bend’s growing houselessness crisis and provides 33 units of long-term, stable housing for highly vulnerable individuals.
Built in partnership with Housing Works, NeighborImpact, Central Oregon FUSE, and Shepherd’s House Ministries, Cleveland Commons pairs affordable housing with comprehensive on-site supportive services, including case management, behavioral health support, medical care coordination, and substance use recovery resources.
Through thoughtful, trauma-informed construction and close collaboration with mission-driven partners, R&H Construction helped deliver a safe, supportive environment that addresses critical housing needs while creating a true sense of home for residents.
We’re honored to help build spaces that strengthen communities and support meaningful change.

R&H is underway on the ground-up construction of a new 36,000 s.f. campus hub and residence facility. Constructed in two phases, the project includes a new two-story, 17-room residence building and campus hub featuring a dining hall, café, training facilities and lobby, serving as a central gathering place for students, staff, and guests. Phase 2 will include demolition of the existing dormitory and completion of outdoor training areas and gardens.
With construction occurring alongside GDB’s occupied campus, careful planning and coordination are key to minimizing disruption while delivering a space built for long-term impact. We can’t wait to watch this space come to life and support the incredible mission of Guide Dogs for the Blind for years to come.

Homemade butter chicken and naan were on the menu last night for R&H team members participating in this week’s Red Apron event. In a step-by-step virtual cooking class, R&H chefs crafted a flavorful butter chicken with a custom blend of spices, alongside fresh homemade naan.
As part of our Red Apron series, our wellness committee provides participants with most of the ingredients including pre-portioned spices, making it easy and fun to cook along. For many, it was their first time preparing this Indian-inspired dish and it quickly became a new R&H favorite.

This early documentation allows our team to establish a visual baseline that helps align the client, design partners, and subcontractors around site conditions and logistics.
As the project progresses, we continue to capture images of the project site to ensure we`re documenting key milestones and are on track to completing the project on time.
