A project close to our hearts and community, R&H completed a full renovation of the historic Thompson Elementary School building, originally built in 1948 and located in Bend’s downtown historic overlay district. The project included a seismic retrofit, a new roof membrane and careful restoration of the exterior windows, all while maintaining the historic charm of this 70-year-old school building. Building upgrades include new, modern lighting, an upgraded HVAC system, new electrical, fire suppression and security systems, and finally, custom casework. The result is a refreshed learning space with modern amenities that’ll serve for generations to come.
