Overlooking the Deschutes River in the heart of Bend, is the new Hayden Homes Amphitheater live music venue. In partnership with Bend’s Old Mill District, R&H completed a multi-phase renovation and expansion of the former Les Schwab Amphitheater.

Phase I, completed in 2021, included the “right-sizing” of the venue and the rebuild of steel amphitheater and stage structure. The new stage features a a minimalist design with pine accents to pay homage to Bend’s vibrant sawmill history. The new stage significantly increased the stage size, resulting in a heigh of 62′ and an additional 1,840 s.f. in footprint, which allows the venue to attract a larger and more diverse group of artists.

Phase II of the renovations, while less visible to the public eye, aimed to increase guest accessibility, improve utilities and upgrade guest entry points. Scope of work included adding a new portal entry structure, new synthetic turf for VIP seating, accessible seating areas, new accessible pathways and egress aisles, stairs and ramps, new railings, and power and lighting upgrades to both food and vendor areas as well as along the pathways.
