R&H has performed several projects for Nike, both on and off Nike’s main campus. Three major projects included the Nike Millikan, Nike Gold and Nike Action Sports tenant improvements.
The Nike Millikin project was challenging yet rewarding 45,000 s.f. tenant improvement for Nike as part of their new off-campus model project. The interior space included open office work environments, private offices, collaborative work spaces, main lobby’s, kitchen and bathroom upgrades in two buildings. The most prominent design features were located in the main hallways – the team installed new roof skylights and a hard lid ceiling system to transform a normal hallway into a feature design element.
R&H also perfomed the tenant improvement for Nike Golf’s world headquarters. The use of walnut in the design speaks to the history of the game, while the introduction of aluminum speaks to innovation. This union is highlighted in the lobby with a contoured wood and aluminum structure that spans two floors. Nike employees enjoy outstanding amenities including “The 19th Hole” cafe, a golf simulator room and an outdoor putting green. Sustainable construction was a priority on this project with 341.6 tons of recycled materials.
Finally, R&H constructed a unique industrial office space for Nike Action Sports. The project showcases the edgy, urban style of skateboarders, surfers and snowboarders alike. Salvaged material, including Oregon barnwood, French and Gothic doors and windows, shipping pallets, and reclaimed wood floors were featured throughout the project.
Other projects performed for Nike include the Nike BC-19 office, the build out of Nike’s Portland International Airport retail location and several remodels on Nike’s World HQ campus.
