Located in the South waterfront district, this new child care center is an adaptive re-use of a former warehouse space.  R&H performed a complete seismic upgrade and renovation to modernize the building.  The center features classrooms, indoor and outdoor playgrounds that merge together by opening large garage doors, a warming pantry, office space and open common areas.  Extensive daylighting was achieved by adding numerous skylights and large storefront windows. An infiltration planter was installed to catch runoff and serve as a teaching tool for the center.
