R&H completed a refresh of University of Portland’s Shipstad Hall, an active residence hall serving students across all four years. A key component of the project was the installation of a new four-story storefront system, improving energy performance and creating a refreshed building presence. Supporting upgrades were completed throughout the building, from hallways and common areas to individual dorm units, including new doors, frames and hardware, window sills, a new basement study room and cosmetic improvements such as paint, carpet and lighting.

Work was performed within an occupied campus environment, requiring careful coordination to minimize disruption to university operations. R&H crews self-performed installation of acoustical ceilings and all doors, frames and hardware.
