Last week, R&H joined the Urbina family, project partners and friends to celebrate the completion of the Princess Project. The Princess Project is a 400 s.f. home addition built for Sofia, a 9-year-old suffering from Batten disease. We met Sofia last year when we constructed a custom art yurt in their backyard in partnership with Make-A-Wish Oregon. R&H worked directly with the Urbina family on this project and constructed the addition with help and donations from our subcontractors and vendors.

The new addition functions as a space Sofia that can safely navigate on her own now, as well as a room with enough space for accommodations as her symptoms progress. It includes a bedroom, an ADA-approved bathroom, and a closet. Sofia and her twin brother moved into the room earlier this month, just in time for the holidays.

Thank you to all of our subcontractors and vendors for your donations, time and hard work on this great project: Wood Mechanix | DeBenedetto’s Commercial Flooring, LLC | Allegiance Corporation | Bliss Roofing, Inc. | Jacobs Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. | Konell Construction & Demolition Corp | Diverse Works Painting | Roofline Supply & Delivery | Porter Electric | W H Cress Bath | Mid-Valley Glass Millwork | Tapani Plumbing | Oregon Interiors Drywall
