In 2017, the Ronald McDonald House of Bend served over 115 families for a total of 1,067 nights. Over the past several months, we have been working closely with the Ronald McDonald House team on a remodel of their family kitchen. The project consisted of a complete kitchen demo, new paint in the kitchen and dining room, new cabinetry, countertops, appliances, plumbing, and upgraded LED lighting.
This has been a collaborative effort that included over 200 volunteer hours, donations, and support from local project partners like Parr Lumber Company, CWI Construction, MasterBrand Cabinets, Bend Radio Group, Les Schwab Tire Centers, 100 Men Who Care Central Oregon, Keller Plumbing LLC, Isom N. Stevenson Painting, Denfeld Painting & Staining, Corian® Design, Standard TV & Appliance, Bend Electric, Fabu @Fabulous Floors Inc., Severson Plumbing, Cascade Heating & Specialties, and Precision Countertops.
The support that RMHC provides for local families is invaluable. It has been a pleasure working with the wonderful volunteers and staff throughout this project. We hope many great meals and happy moments happen in their new kitchen!
